There was great excitement in the summer of 2021 when it became apparent that after many years of being closed the Nefyn Beach cafe was opening up! Since then it has gone from strength to strength with the addition of a wide variety of stock and even a takeaway service for evening meals on summer nights.
This small bay is within walking distance of Araul – about 30 mins along the Welsh Coastal Path and is well worth a visit
In mid-August 2022, many holidaymakers were amazed and delighted to see a pod of dolphins make repeated visits to Nefyn Bay. Some beachgoers were relaxing in their deckchairs when they spotted a few splishes and splashes out to sea. Canoeists and boaters went to explore further and were rewarded with some beautiful pictures of these lovely creatures seemingly playing in the clear blue waters. Our photography efforts won’t rival those of the Blue Planet team but it was a real privilege to see them in the wild.
